Jessie Morozov - High School Winner
Jessie Morozov is a 16-year-old violinist from Spokane, Washington with a diverse range of experiences in solo classical, orchestral, and jazz music. In 2024, she served as a section violinist for the Festival at Sandpoint Orchestra and Assistant Concertmaster of the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra. As of March 2025, she will serve as a member of the Spokane Symphony Orchestra.
Her competitive achievements include being a finalist at the Seattle Young Artist Music Festival in 2024 and winning the Musicfest Northwest Adjudicator’s Choice award in both 2023 and 2024. She also won the Spokane Youth Symphony Concerto Competition in 2022.
Jessie is passionate about chamber music and has participated in the advanced program at the Center Stage Strings Music Festival performing as Violin 1 in the Fontina Quartet. She has also performed in various chamber ensembles with the Spokane Youth Symphony and Marrowstone Music Festival.
In addition to classical music, Jessie is an accomplished jazz violinist with Hot Club of Coeur d’Alene. She won the Combo Division at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in 2023 and 2024 and has released an album with the group, available on streaming platforms and CD.
