Narratives – Music in Intimate Conversation

This season, our Silverthorne Chamber Series invites you into a more personal kind of storytelling—music shared up close, where every phrase feels like a conversation between musicians and audience. Held in the intimate setting of the LCSC Silverthorne Theater, these performances explore the theme of Narratives through smaller ensembles, bold ideas, and expressive sound.

In October, Once Upon a Symphony offers a playful and family-friendly introduction to chamber music, featuring Chris Dickey on tuba in James Naigus’ Radiant Dances, and the narrated Once Upon a Symphony by James Stephenson—an imaginative journey designed to delight listeners of all ages.

Then in May, Breath and Motion showcases the richness and nuance of wind chamber music. From airy lyricism to bold rhythmic energy, this concert highlights the expressive potential of instruments powered by breath. Specific repertoire is still to be announced, but the program promises a vibrant and satisfying conclusion to the series.
